Agriculture is a visionary, out-of-the-ordinary, ‘ecstatic’ black metal quartet with roots in L.A.’s underground noise scene. While cherry-picking songs from their self-titled album (2023) and two EPs, Living Is Easy (2024) and Circle Chant (2022), the band tend to enchant their audiences!

Agriculture evokes an ecstatic subversion of black metal and its tropes. Rather than the dark and macabre, Agriculture uses their extreme music to express absolute bliss, overwhelming love, and awe-inspiring sublimity – ecstatic emotions that transcend experiences of the everyday. Their music examines self-acceptance and finding strength in others, such as on their masterly song, “The Glory of the Ocean”, which depicts deep communion with nature and with the people we surround ourselves with.
