A COLOSSAL WEEEKEND is a yearly celebration of genre crossing, boundary pushing, and experimental music within the realm of ‘heavy’.
We seek to find new ways of exploring what heavy music can achieve, how it can be understood, and how it can be defined. Our ambition is to create and maintain spaces where artists and fans can find themselves in different settings and collaborations, establishing new relations and connections.
The 3-day event takes place in and around VEGA, at Vesterbro, Copenhagen, Denmark.
A COLOSSAL WEEEKEND took place for the first time in 2016 and have presented legends, and pioneers as well as debutants throughout the years.
A COLOSSAL WEEKEND is about community, connectivity and low-end.
A COLOSSAL WEEKEND is powered by VEGA and is 100% Independent and 100% NON-profit.
VEGA is operated by a foundation. This means that any profit is invested back into the music. The popular concerts finance our work with emerging artists and all our other efforts in the development of live music, including A COLOSSAL WEEKEND.
