40 Watt Sun plays rock music rangingbetween melancholic doom and poetic dirge. The trio has made four studioalbums: The Inside Room (2011), Wider than the Sky (2016), and Perfect Light(2022).
A modest 40 watts isn’t much of anenergy burst, you might wonder, but don’t be mistaken: Behind the detainedintensity in the songs – they tend to touch upon longing, love and nostalgia –lingers gravity and wholeheartedness.
For the creation of the Little Weightalbum, the musicians went on a number of isolated retreats to give fullattention to the rawness, nearness and spontaneity of the emotion that drivestheir musical expression.
